The Kwankwasiyya Movement calls on the Supreme Court to deliver a timely ruling in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) case, warning that delays could hinder the party’s democratic participation.

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has urged the Supreme Court of Nigeria to expedite its ruling in the ongoing case affecting the African Democratic Congress (ADC), warning that prolonged delays could undermine the party’s ability to participate effectively in the nation’s democratic process.

In a statement issued on Friday by its spokesperson, Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed, the movement expressed confidence in the integrity and independence of the apex court but emphasised the urgency of the matter.

“Party Under Pressure Due To Timelines”

The group noted that the situation has placed the ADC under pressure, as electoral processes are governed by strict timelines that cannot be ignored.

The movement urged the court to consider not only the legal merits of the case but also the time-sensitive nature of the situation, particularly as it relates to democratic participation and political stability.

“Justice Must Be Fair And Timely”

According to the statement, the Supreme Court has consistently demonstrated that justice must not only be fair but also timely, especially in cases with national implications.

The movement expressed optimism that the court would act in a manner that upholds both judicial integrity and Nigeria’s multi-party democracy.

Call For Calm Among Supporters

The Kwankwasiyya Movement appealed to its members and supporters to remain calm, united, and law-abiding while the legal process continues.

Reaffirming its faith in the judicial process, the movement concluded that justice will prevail in a fair and timely manner.
