Popular streamer and content creator Carter Efe has revealed that Afrobeats star Davido once warned him against insulting fellow singer Wizkid.

Speaking during a recent interview, Carter Efe dismissed claims that Davido encourages his criticism of Wizkid. He said the singer had personally advised him to stop attacking his colleague.

“Davido messaged me and asked me never to insult Wizkid again. People think he’s the one asking me to insult Wizkid,” Carter Efe said.

The revelation comes amid Carter Efe’s recent comments about his strained relationship with Wizkid and his public admiration for Davido, whom he described in a separate interview as his “helper” and “daddy.”

Carter Efe also stated that Davido remains accessible to him and recently answered one of his phone calls. He insisted that he would never betray the singer.

His remarks have sparked reactions online, particularly among fans of Davido and Wizkid, whose perceived rivalry has remained a major topic in Nigerian popular culture. While some fans believe the revelation clears Davido of involvement in Carter Efe’s comments, others urged the streamer to stop discussing Wizkid and avoid fuelling fan wars.

The development has once again highlighted the intense interest surrounding the relationship between two of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars.

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee is expected to appear before a United Kingdom court for a plea hearing on February 8, 2027. His trial is scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027.

Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby, disclosed the dates after attending court proceedings on Tuesday. He said the case involved “one of our Nigerian brothers, Poco Lee.”

Kuti had previously confirmed that Poco Lee was being held on remand in a UK prison and was expected to appear in court for a plea hearing.

He urged the public to respect the legal process and refrain from making judgments based on allegations or unverified information.

“Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” Kuti stated, emphasising the importance of respecting due process throughout the proceedings.
