Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a couple from their home in the Iluabo community, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Neighbour Shot During Attack
According to eyewitnesses, the couple had just arrived home in an ash-coloured Toyota Camry when the gunmen, who had laid an ambush, attacked them.
During the chaos, a neighbour, Patrick Ilumaro, who was seated outside his residence, was shot while attempting to flee.
Ilumaro was rushed to a medical facility where he is currently receiving treatment, according to neighbours.
Police Launch Rescue Operation
Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police Command said tactical teams and conventional operatives have been deployed to the community to rescue the victims and apprehend the suspects.
