The Big Brother Naija Season 10 house has bid farewell to its second contestant. Ibifubara Davis was evicted during the Week 2 live eviction show on Sunday, August 10, 2025. The show was hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Ibifubara’s exit follows the eviction of Danboskid, who was the first housemate to leave the house this season.

In an unexpected twist, Big Brother had placed all housemates up for possible eviction, except for Head of House Victory and Kayikunmi, who was saved by Victory. This twist definitely added to the tension within the house.

Ibifubara Davis, a 28-year-old psychologist from Lagos, entered Big Brother Naija seeking adventure and a journey of self-discovery. While his time in the house was short-lived, his presence will surely be remembered.

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has described Chinua Achebe’s 1958 novel, Things Fall Apart, as the greatest African book ever written.

Speaking in a recent interview, Edochie said the novel’s enduring popularity stems from its authentic portrayal of African life and history. He noted that although several African writers have since explored similar themes, none has matched the strength and influence of Achebe’s work.

Edochie urged African writers and creatives to tell their own stories, describing this as their greatest advantage on the global stage. He also expressed concern that foreign cultural influences were overshadowing African talent and identity.

Reflecting on his own experience, the actor recalled being given Western names such as Elvis Presley and John Wayne before choosing the culturally significant name “Uwadiegwu.”
