According to results confirmed on Monday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured one council, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which houses a coalition of opposition leaders, failed to win any seat.
The APC emerged victorious in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abaji, Kuje, Bwari, and Kwali, while the PDP clinched Gwagwalada.
Party Leaders Host Newly Elected Chairmen
The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and the Chairman of the APC National Campaign Council, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, led other party leaders to receive the newly elected FCT council chairmen at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The event was attended by members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and other senior officials, who congratulated the new chairmen on their victory and urged them to deliver good governance at the grassroots level.

In a post on its official X handle, the APC confirmed the reception, noting that the meeting symbolized the party’s commitment to strengthening local governance and rewarding performance-driven leadership.
The statement read that the newly elected chairmen were received by the party’s top hierarchy, including the National Working Committee, as part of efforts to align local administration with national development goals.
