Quick Summary:
Founding National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Raph Nwosu, says the 2027 elections will not hold if ADC is excluded from the ballot, declaring the party ready to unseat President Bola Tinubu.
Founding National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Raph Nwosu, has declared that the 2027 general elections will not hold if the ADC is not on the ballot, insisting that the party has the numbers and structures to take over from President Bola Tinubu.
Nwosu made the statement on Wednesday during a party event in Abuja, which drew a large crowd of young aspirants and party leaders from across the country.
“ADC Has The Numbers To Win 2027”
The ADC founder claimed that the party’s coalition movement had achieved phenomenal growth, attracting interest from serving senators in the ruling APC and other political parties.
Nwosu revealed that the party’s membership portal had already recorded over five million registered supporters, with projections to reach 11 million contributors by the close of registration.
“Tinubu And Akpabio’s Time Is Over”
Nwosu accused the current administration of impunity and political arrogance, saying that Tinubu’s political time is over.
He added that the ADC coalition had done everything right in its internal reorganization, blaming the party’s challenges on the dirty political culture in Nigeria.
Internal Crisis And Court Ruling
Nwosu’s remarks come amid an internal leadership crisis within the ADC, led by David Mark’s faction.
On Wednesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognizing the ADC leadership under David Mark, deepening the party’s internal divisions.
Despite the legal setback, Nwosu maintained that the ADC remains united under the coalition structure, insisting that the party’s strategies are in place to ensure its participation in the 2027 elections.
