Turaki secured a total of 1,516 votes, defeating his closest rival, Garuba Lado, who garnered 41 votes. The results were announced by Ben Obi, secretary of the National Convention Organising Committee, after the official vote count.

According to Obi, a total of 3,141 delegates attended the convention, with 2,745 accredited to vote. Out of the total ballots cast, 275 votes were declared void.
In addition to the chairmanship race, Solarin Adekunle emerged as the deputy national organising secretary of the party, while 17 other positions were contested unopposed.
