The Command stated that the suspect threatened the victim to prevent her from disclosing the incident, warning her of dire consequences if she spoke out.
Despite the intimidation, the victim reported the matter to the police, leading to immediate action and the arrest of the suspect.
Police Confirm Investigation
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said the suspect is in custody and assisting with investigations.
The police also confirmed that the victim has been taken to the General Hospital, Owo, where she is receiving medical care, with additional support being arranged to ensure her well-being.

The Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, directed that the case be handled with urgency and sensitivity, assuring that justice will be served.
