Media Personality Solomon Buchi Critiques Pastor Tobi Adegboyega for Clubbing with Davido

Recently, Solomon Buchi, a prominent media personality and critic, voiced his concerns regarding celebrity pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s decision to be seen clubbing alongside renowned musician Davido. The incident gained significant attention on social media, particularly after a viral video showed the two figures together, amidst the backdrop of an ongoing rift between Davido and fellow artist Wizkid.
Buchi took to his X handle to express his disapproval, labeling Adegboyega as a “shame to the office of a pastor.” He contended that a true pastor should embody principles that reflect a higher moral and spiritual calling, rather than engaging in public displays associated with nightlife and celebrity culture.
In his remarks, Buchi suggested that the celebrity pastor should abandon his pastoral role and focus instead on his lifestyle choices, which he described as involving luxury cars and clubbing. He concluded his critique with a pointed remark, urging Adegboyega to separate his lavish lifestyle from the teachings of Jesus.
This confrontation highlights ongoing debates surrounding the role of celebrity pastors in contemporary society, particularly in relation to their public personas and the expectations placed upon them by their congregations. Buchi’s comments serve to reignite discussions about the authenticity and responsibilities that come with spiritual leadership in an age increasingly influenced by celebrity culture.
Tobi Adegboyega is definitely not a pastor. Such a shame to the office of a pastor. You can’t be a pastor and be like that. He should just drive his luxury cars, club and enjoy his Gucci. Stop mixing it with Jesus.

Nollywood Actress Questions JAMB’s Relevance in University Admissions.

Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has recently ignited a debate regarding the necessity of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination for university admissions in Nigeria. In a statement posted on her Instagram story, Njoku questioned the need for JAMB and post-UTME, arguing that the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) should be sufficient proof of a candidate’s completion of secondary education.
Her statement comes amidst recent controversy surrounding JAMB, particularly following widespread reports of mass failures in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). While JAMB has admitted to errors and announced retakes for affected candidates, Njoku’s questioning highlights a deeper concern regarding the redundancy and potential inefficiencies within the current university admission process. The actress’s comments add fuel to an existing debate about the effectiveness and fairness of the JAMB examination in evaluating a student’s readiness for tertiary education.
