Afrobeats icon Tiwa Savage has addressed persistent rumors linking her romantically to Wizkid. In a recent interview, Savage clarified that Wizkid was not the public figure she alluded to previously when discussing a past relationship.

The initial interview sparked intense speculation, with many concluding Savage was referring to Wizkid due to longstanding rumors of a romance between the two artists. Savage had stated she once dated a public figure who preferred to keep their relationship private, even while openly flirting with other women.

However, in a subsequent interview with TheBreakfast Club, Savage explicitly denied the claims. “Shoutout to Wizkid. I love and respect him, but he isn’t the one I was referring to. I said the person was a public figure, but it’s not him,” she stated.

Savage has chosen to withhold the identity of the celebrity she dated, leaving the matter shrouded in continued mystery.

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has described Chinua Achebe’s 1958 novel, Things Fall Apart, as the greatest African book ever written.

Speaking in a recent interview, Edochie said the novel’s enduring popularity stems from its authentic portrayal of African life and history. He noted that although several African writers have since explored similar themes, none has matched the strength and influence of Achebe’s work.

Edochie urged African writers and creatives to tell their own stories, describing this as their greatest advantage on the global stage. He also expressed concern that foreign cultural influences were overshadowing African talent and identity.

Reflecting on his own experience, the actor recalled being given Western names such as Elvis Presley and John Wayne before choosing the culturally significant name “Uwadiegwu.”
