Quick Summary:
Isaac Fayose cautions Nigerians not to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027, warns petrol price could reach N5,000 per litre.

Nigerian businessman and internet personality, Isaac Fayose, has warned Nigerians against re-electing President Bola Tinubu in 2027, claiming that the petrol pump price could rise to ₦5,000 per litre if the current administration continues.

Fayose issued the warning in a video posted on Facebook, reacting to a poster welcoming Tinubu to Lagos State, which featured the president, his wife, and his son, Seyi Tinubu.

He described the poster as abnormal, suggesting it symbolized a family-run government.

‘Government Of The Family, By The Family’

Fayose criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, accusing it of being indifferent to Nigerians’ suffering.

He further described the administration as a “government of the family, by the family, and for a family,” warning that re-electing Tinubu would enslave future generations.

Calls For Political Change

Fayose urged Nigerians to take back the country in 2027, insisting that votes will count despite public skepticism.

He also questioned the government’s fuel subsidy removal policy, recalling that officials had promised to save $1 billion monthly from the reform.

The Nigeria Police Command in Benue State has dismissed reports alleging that Mobile Police personnel were withdrawn from Ayilamo community in Logo Local Government Area.

In a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Orchia Aondogwu, the report was described as unfounded and baseless. He stated that Mobile Police personnel remained deployed in Ayilamo alongside the Divisional Police team and other tactical units.

Aondogwu also said additional military personnel had been deployed to reinforce security in the area, urging the public to disregard the report.

However, the traditional ruler of Ayilamo, Mue Ter, Chief Torkoer Samuel, contradicted the police account. He claimed that the Mobile Police personnel left the community on Wednesday with their equipment and Armoured Personnel Carriers.

The conflicting accounts have raised questions about the current security situation in Ayilamo and the extent of military presence in the community.
