Three people, including two brothers and a woman, were killed after a Dangote truck hit their motorcycle along the Gboko–Aliade road in Benue State.
BenueTruckAccident has left residents of Gboko, Benue State, in mourning after a Dangote truck reportedly hit and killed three persons on Friday along the Gboko–Aliade road.
The tragic incident occurred at Luga, a suburb of Gboko, claiming the lives of two biological brothers and a lady who were all riding on a Bajaj motorcycle.
Eyewitness Account
According to eyewitnesses, two Dangote trucks were driving side by side at high speed on the narrow road when one of the trucks, unable to avoid the motorcycle due to lack of space, hit it from behind, killing all three occupants instantly.
The victims were later evacuated to the mortuary at Agidi, another nearby suburb, while the two trucks were impounded and taken to the police station in Gboko for investigation.
Dangote Transport Wing Reacts
When contacted, Adamu Alfa, chairman of the Gboko branch of Dantrans, the transport wing of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), confirmed the accident and described it as “sad.”
He clarified that although the accident occurred in Gboko, the trucks involved were from the Dangote Cement plant in Ibese, not the Gboko plant.
