Following a 3-in-1 programme that included an annual lecture, an award ceremony, and a New Year party, Adeleye expressed her commitment to empowering women, safeguarding children, and fostering inclusive social development.
Adeleye urged ministry personnel to elevate their performance standards and actively contribute to reforms designed to protect vulnerable groups. “Together, we will continue to break barriers, champion social development, and uplift the lives of women and children across Ogun State,” she proclaimed. President Tinubu Begins Two-Nation Tour with State Visit to Saint Lucia.

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia, on Saturday, marking the commencement of a two-nation tour encompassing the Caribbean and South America. Upon arrival at Hewanorra International Airport, he was received with full military honors by Governor-General Errol Melchiades Charles and Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre.
The President’s itinerary includes courtesy visits to the Governor-General and Prime Minister, followed by an address to a joint session of the Senate and the House of Assembly of Saint Lucia. Discussions will focus on deepening cooperation between Nigeria and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), with emphasis on economic partnerships and cultural solidarity. A visit to the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College is also planned to strengthen educational ties.
Following his engagements in Saint Lucia, President Tinubu will proceed to Brazil to participate in the 2025 BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, attending at the invitation of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil. Nigeria’s participation as a ‘partner country’ underscores its commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations on a global scale.

Nigeria’s tax reform bills rename FIRS to Nigeria Revenue Service.

In a landmark move towards fiscal reform, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assented to four key tax reform bills, heralding the transition of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) into the Nigeria Revenue Service. The enacted legislation includes the Nigeria Tax Bill, the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, the Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill.
President Tinubu has stated that these reforms are designed to provide substantial tax relief for low-income earners, small businesses, and families, marking a pro-people approach to economic policy. The President anticipates that these changes will usher in a new era of economic prosperity for the nation.
The implementation of these tax reform bills is scheduled to commence on January 1, 2026.

We’re dedicated to transforming the industry, promoting excellence, and mentoring the next generation of content creators to drive growth and innovation.
In 2022, a group of visionary industry experts, led by Mr. Wale Adenuga MFR, Mrs. Deborah Odutayo, Mr. Olatunbosun Olaegbe, and Mrs. Moyinoluwa Olutayo, brought their collective knowledge and experience together to establish TCOA, championing the powerful mantra “Content is Life”.

To establish itself as a leading authority on best practices and quality production, the Television Content Owners Association (TCOA) launched its inaugural training program in April 2024, titled “Upscaling Content Production to Global Standard”.
