Abuja, Nigeria – A member of the House of Representatives, Chinedu Ogah, has formally called upon the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to launch an investigation into prominent socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest. The impetus for this demand stems from recent public remarks made by Okechukwu concerning the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru.

Representative Ogah, who represents the Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State, expressed strong disapproval of Cubana Chief Priest’s comments. He publicly questioned the socialite’s professional background and sources of income, stating, “Who is Cubana Chief Priest? What does he do for a living? Who gave him the audacity to speak against the Ebonyi State Governor? Is it about drinking?”

Beyond the criticism of his statements, Ogah further alleged that Cubana Chief Priest may be involved in money laundering activities. He has urged the EFCC to thoroughly scrutinize the socialite’s financial dealings, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability. This development highlights growing scrutiny of public figures and their financial probity within Nigeria.
