Nigerian controversial social media critic and activist, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has announced the launch of a new civic initiative under the banner of the Ratel Movement, aimed at mobilizing Nigerian youths for nationwide community service.
Monthly Community Sanitization
In a viral video shared on his Facebook page on Wednesday, VDM revealed that the movement would commence monthly sanitization of communities starting Saturday, November 29, 2025.
According to him, the initiative is designed to tackle environmental decay while fostering patriotism and civic responsibility among Nigerian youths.
“Shutting Down Nigeria with Impact”
VDM, known for his outspoken activism, clarified that the Ratel Movement’s activities would not involve violence but rather impactful community engagement.
Activities Planned
The Ratel Movement’s community service will include:
- Cleaning public spaces
- Clearing drainages
- Rehabilitating school facilities
- Other grassroots-driven community development projects
VDM emphasized that the initiative marks a shift from online activism to real-life impact.
