In a recent statement, music executive and businessman Ubi Franklin sought to clarify his professional relationship with Afrobeats superstar Davido, amidst comments on social media that labeled him as the artist’s personal assistant or nanny. Franklin emphasized that he serves as a business administrator, equipped with the necessary qualifications and experience to fulfill this role effectively.
Responding to an X user’s comment, Franklin explained, “David calls me #thesolutionist, do with that what you want. Definitely not his PA or nanny like most of you have tried to taunt me with.” He further asserted his position as the CEO of Mademusicg, reinforcing that his involvement with Davido is rooted in professional expertise rather than personal servitude.
The clarification comes at a time when public perception often blurs the lines between personal and professional relationships in the entertainment industry. Franklin’s statement serves to highlight the importance of recognizing the distinct roles individuals play within their professional environments.
In a related narrative, Davido recently shared insights on his upbringing and the profound influence of his father, Adedeji Adeleke, on his faith and resilience. In a podcast interview, the artist reflected on the lessons instilled in him about trusting in God, particularly during challenging times. He noted, “I overcame a lot of challenges because of my dad. Initially, I did not understand, but now I’ve come to the realization.”

South African sensation Tyla is poised to make history as the first African personality to host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Organizers announced the Grammy-winning artist as the host of the 2025 edition, scheduled to air live on June 21st from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Early Thursday morning, American musician Chris Brown was taken into custody at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester by officers from the Metropolitan Police. The arrest, occurring shortly after 2:00 AM, is connected to an alleged assault on music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair district on February 19, 2023.
