The Super Eagles are scheduled to depart from Moscow tonight, en route to Russia for a highly anticipated international friendly match. This follows their participation and victory in the 2025 Unity Cup invitational tournament held in London, where they triumphed over Jamaica in a 5-4 penalty shootout at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford.

The team, led by Eric Chelle, will travel to Russia via Morocco. They are set to face Russia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Friday. This match marks the first-ever encounter between the two nations at the senior level.

The Super Eagles enter this historic fixture with a strong record, remaining unbeaten in their last four games, securing three wins and one draw.
