Successful Operation by Nigerian Army in Plateau State.

Troops of the 3 Division, operating under Operation SAFE HAVEN, successfully neutralized two suspected armed bandits during a raid on a criminal hideout in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday. The operation, targeting a suspected enclave near Teng Mountain/Forest, followed actionable intelligence.

Engaging the criminals in a gunfight, troops successfully overpowered them, resulting in the death of two suspects. Recovered items included one AK-47 rifle, a locally fabricated rifle, ammunition, mobile phones, motorcycles, and N157,900 in cash suspected to be proceeds from illicit activities.

Recovered weapons are now in military custody, and the mobile phones are undergoing forensic analysis. Operation SAFE HAVEN reaffirmed its commitment to sustained offensive operations against banditry, aiming to restore lasting peace within the Joint Operations Area.

A key component of this reorganization involves the renaming of the United States Digital Service (USDS) to the United States DOGE Service (USDS), firmly positioning it within the Executive Office of the President. The executive order specifies that this agency will be integral to implementing the President’s “DOGE Agenda.”

Elon Musk, prominent entrepreneur and reportedly a key figure within DOGE, has commented on the initiative, stating his expectation of “meaningful progress every week.” The establishment of DOGE signals a significant shift in the administration’s approach to federal operations and technological infrastructure.
