Quick Summary:
Former senator condemns viral case of Russian man filming women in Kenya and Ghana, calls for dignity, moral restraint, and tougher immigration control across Africa.

Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the disturbing case of a Russian man who secretly recorded sexual encounters with women in Kenya and Ghana, describing it as a tragic moral and social failure that could have been avoided.

In a post shared on his verified X handle on Thursday, Sani lamented that greed and racial fascination led the women to compromise their dignity and moral standards within minutes of meeting the man.

He expressed concern that the women had permanently damaged their reputations, with the explicit videos now circulating online indefinitely, warning that the psychological impact on their children would be devastating.

Commends Ghana, Calls for Immigration Vigilance

Sani commended the Government of Ghana for issuing an arrest warrant against the Russian national, urging other African countries to take similar action to protect their citizens.

He further advised that Nigerian Immigration officials must deny visas to foreigners who lack verifiable business or legitimate reasons for entering the country, even if they claim to be tourists.

According to him, the incident should serve as a wake-up call for African nations to tighten immigration policies and enforce stricter monitoring of foreign visitors.

Warning to African Women

The former senator also raised alarm over reports that foreign men equipped with hidden cameras are roaming African countries, exploiting unsuspecting women.

He emphasized that moral discipline and awareness remain the strongest defences against such exploitation.
