According to police reports, two unidentified men broke into the building, threatened the mother, and kidnapped the infant, prompting an immediate police response.
Arrests And Recovery
Acting under the directive of Commissioner of Police Shetima Jauro Mohammed, detectives from Mararaba ‘A’ Division launched an intensive search operation.
By the early hours of April 3, 2026, officers arrested Furera Abdulrahman (35) from Rugan Juli and Sadiya Abdullahi (39) from Unguwan Bako, Orange Market.
The infant was taken to Mararaba Medical Centre for a medical examination before being reunited with the family.
Investigation Ongoing
Authorities stated that the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Lafia for further investigation.
