Abia State Governor Alex Otti has called on media practitioners to prioritize accurate reporting and avoid disseminating false information that could incite fear. Speaking at the 2025 Media Vision Africa training in Umuahia, Governor Otti, represented by Information Commissioner Okey Kanu, emphasized the importance of narratives that inspire confidence, particularly in light of the state’s focus on security and economic recovery.

Otti cautioned against the use of propaganda and urged media professionals to build their stories on truth and factual accuracy. He encouraged balanced reporting, highlighting both the challenges and successes within Abia State.

Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, President of Vision Africa, stated that the training program aims to equip young Nigerian media practitioners with the skills necessary for future leadership roles. He encouraged them to become job creators and cultivate a culture of inspiration rather than relying solely on government opportunities.
