Ogun Assembly Calls for Boundary Commission, Resolves Land Dispute.
The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, has urged the state government to expedite the establishment of a state boundary commission. This call was made during a recent plenary session in response to reports of incursions by neighboring Lagos State officials into parts of Ode-Omi. The Speaker emphasized the need for government intervention to safeguard residents from potential threats.
In related news, the Assembly successfully resolved a land dispute concerning the Leso Community Market in Odeda Local Government. Following a petition from the Camp Area Community Development Committee, the House Committee on Lands and Housing investigated accusations of sabotage against the market’s establishment. The committee’s report, adopted by the Assembly, affirmed the market’s approved operation. The report further clarified that the land falls under the jurisdiction of the Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture, advising all parties to seek proper documentation through the ministry.
