Nigerian Afrobeats singer Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has explained why he temporarily stepped away from music. Responding to a fan on X, the singer revealed that his absence was connected to the death of his mother earlier this year, rather than preparations for a new album.
A fan had speculated that Kizz Daniel was busy working on an album, prompting his brief pause. However, the singer clarified that he had taken time away to mourn his mother. He stated that although her death had deeply affected him, he had to remain strong for the rest of his family and apologised for his late return to the music scene.
The disclosure highlights the personal grief behind his professional absence. It also follows his earlier revelation that his wife lost her mother in 2024. Despite these family tragedies, Kizz Daniel appears determined to continue his career while supporting his loved ones.
