The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed a total of N1.681 trillion in revenue generated during April 2025 to the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Government Councils. This figure represents an increase of N103 billion compared to the N1.578 trillion shared in March 2025.

The distributable revenue comprised N962.882 billion in statutory revenue, N598.077 billion in Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, N38.862 billion in Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue, and N81.407 billion from Exchange Difference. Deductions totaling N1.167 trillion were made for revenue collection costs, statutory transfers, refunds, interventions, and savings from a gross total revenue of N2.848 trillion.

While revenue from Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Oil and Gas Royalties, VAT, EMTL, Excise Duty, Import Duty, and CET Levies experienced increases, Companies Income Tax (CIT) revenue witnessed a considerable decline. The April 2025 revenue performance highlights the ongoing volatility in Nigeria’s revenue streams, despite encouraging advancements in non-oil revenue generation.
