Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has formally requested the Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Services to initiate the immediate arrest and prosecution of Olorogun Ese Kakor, President of the Neo-Black Movement (NBM), for alleged forgery of state government documents.

The Governor’s petition, released by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, accuses Kakor of fabricating documents falsely authorizing the NBM to provide assistance to schools within the Edo South Senatorial District. Okpebholo characterized this act as a fraudulent assault on the integrity of state administration, executed in collaboration with implicated civil servants, now in custody.

Beyond the call for prosecution, Governor Okpebholo has revoked the land title of the NBM headquarters, citing the organization’s alleged involvement in criminal activities. He urges increased vigilance from law enforcement agencies to combat criminality and ensure justice for all offenses.
