Nigerian producer and music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has responded to recent claims regarding a past incident in the United Kingdom (UK). The allegations, brought forth by his former associate Bankulli, suggested that Don Jazzy evaded law enforcement following a car accident during his early career.

Bankulli stated that Don Jazzy, in an attempt to avoid financial repercussions, removed the license plate from the vehicle and fled the scene after police arrived. The claims surfaced during a recent event where Bankulli recounted the incident, stating that the cost of retrieving the damaged vehicle exceeded its value.

An X (formerly Twitter) user expressed concern that Bankulli’s public revelation could potentially lead to the reopening of the case should Don Jazzy travel to the UK.

In response to these claims, Don Jazzy has addressed the situation via his X account, assuring fans that there is no cause for alarm. He clarified that he did not evade the police as alleged by Bankulli. According to Don Jazzy, he remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities, undergoing a breathalyser test which confirmed he was not under the influence of alcohol.

While the police did impound his vehicle, Don Jazzy explained that the cost associated with retrieving the car was more than the car was worth. Therefore, he made the practical decision to abandon the vehicle with the authorities, rather than incur a greater financial loss.

Don Jazzy’s statement seeks to clarify the events surrounding the accident and dispel any notions of wrongdoing or attempts to evade the law. By providing his account, he aims to alleviate concerns regarding potential legal ramifications stemming from the decades-old incident.
