Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will soon begin to “lose sleep” as he discovers the true colours of those around him.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Momodu, who described himself as a prophet, said several political figures currently aligned with Tinubu would eventually turn against him when their expectations are not met.
Aregbesola’s Defection Cited as Example
Momodu referenced the defection of former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola to the ADC, despite his long-standing relationship with Tinubu, as evidence of shifting loyalties within the ruling party.
He added that many senators and House members were already trooping into the ADC, signalling a growing realignment ahead of the next general elections.
Tinubu’s Allies Under Scrutiny
Momodu further claimed that many of Tinubu’s current allies were “pretending like rattlesnakes”, waiting for personal benefits before deciding their next political moves.
He also suggested that Vice President Kashim Shettima was at a political crossroads, as the APC faces uncertainty over whether it can risk another Muslim–Muslim ticket in future elections.
