A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has halted the planned National Executive Council (NEC) inauguration and leadership retreat of the Norsemen Club International (DNKI), ordering security agencies to take action against those allegedly involved.
The injunction, issued on Friday by Justice George Basil Okwenna, restrained the defendants from parading themselves as DNKI leaders or holding any NEC-related events pending the determination of a substantive suit.
The court also directed the police and other security agencies to prevent the planned inauguration in Enugu and take action against anyone attempting to proceed with it.

The court’s directives include:
- Restraining the first nine defendants from presenting themselves as the International President or members of DNKI’s NEC and National Advisory Council (NAC).
- Compelling the police to investigate and prosecute any defendants participating in the leadership retreat scheduled for March 13–15, 2026.
- Preventing venues from hosting the purported retreat while investigations into alleged nefarious activities continue.
- Declaring null and void any resolutions claiming to remove the Board of Trustees (BoT) until the court determines the case.
Background to the Dispute
The Board of Trustees of DNKI had earlier petitioned security agencies, alleging that the defendants circulated a video falsely suggesting that the association engages in blood-sucking activities, a claim the BoT described as malicious and contrary to the club’s values.
Some of the defendants reportedly evaded police invitations, prompting the court to empower law enforcement to act.
Through an originating summons, the BoT is seeking the nullification of the purported election that produced the defendants, arguing that it was conducted in violation of the association’s constitution.
The BoT had also petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, calling for the arrest and prosecution of those involved in the alleged defamatory video.
