Chelsea Football Club has reportedly declined a loan offer from Bayern Munich for their forward, Christopher Nkunku. Sky Sports reports that the West London club is only considering a permanent transfer for the French international this summer.
Nkunku’s future at Stamford Bridge appears uncertain as he is not part of manager Enzo Maresca’s plans for the current season. The 27-year-old was notably absent from the Chelsea squad that played to a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace.
Despite interest from various clubs, including Bayern Munich, Chelsea has decided against a loan move to the Bundesliga champions. Nkunku previously showcased his talent in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, where he scored an impressive 33 goals in 34 league games before joining Chelsea. The club’s stance suggests they are seeking a definitive sale rather than a temporary departure for the player.
