Grammy Award-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has solidified his position as a leading figure in African music, achieving a new milestone on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. His recent collaboration with American rapper Gunna, “WGFT,” debuted at number 96, marking Burna Boy’s seventh entry on the prestigious chart.
This achievement establishes Burna Boy as the African artist with the most entries on the US Billboard Hot 100. Furthermore, he is the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in five consecutive years (2021-2025). Burna Boy’s previous chart entries include “Loved By You” with Justin Bieber (2021) and his solo hit “Last Last” (2022), which peaked at number 44.
In addition to his US success, Burna Boy holds the record for the most entries by an African artist on both the UK Singles Chart (26) and the Canadian Hot 100 (11). These accomplishments underscore his global appeal and impact on the international music scene.
