The National Sports Commission (NSC) has refuted claims of outstanding bonus payments to the Super Falcons. Director-General Bukola Olopade, speaking on Arise TV, asserted that all bonuses were settled prior to the team’s match against Morocco. This statement directly addresses concerns voiced by player Rasheedat Ajibade regarding unfulfilled promises.

While acknowledging potential banking-related delays affecting individual players, Olopade assured that the promised $100,000 reward for the 2024 WAFCON victory and the allocation of houses under the Renewed Hope Housing Initiative remain imminent. The NSC is collaborating with the Minister of Works and Housing to expedite the housing allocation process.

Olopade emphasized the NSC’s dedication to athlete welfare, stating the commission’s commitment to resolving all outstanding issues promptly. This announcement aims to quell recent uncertainties and reaffirm the NSC’s support for the Super Falcons.
