Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems have received nominations for the 2025 NAACP Awards.

The 2025 NAACP Awards have recognized the remarkable contributions of Nigerian artists, with music icons Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems receiving notable nominations. Scheduled for February 22, the 56th edition of this prestigious event will take place at the Pasadena Civic Center in California.

Wizkid has garnered two nominations for his collaborative track “Piece of My Heart,” featuring Brent Faiyaz, competing in the categories of Outstanding Duo or Collaboration and Outstanding International Song. In a remarkable display of talent, Burna Boy and Usher have teamed up for the song “Coming Home,” earning a nomination for Best Collaboration. Meanwhile, Tems has been acknowledged for her emotive track “Love Me JeJe,” securing her place in the Outstanding International Song category.

In addition to these musical accolades, actress Ayo Edebiri has made a significant impression, receiving nominations in five categories, including Outstanding Voiceover and Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. The ceremony also recognizes South African artist Tyla, nominated for Outstanding New Artist, highlighting the growing influence of African talent across the global stage.

This recognition at the NAACP Awards underscores the rising prominence of African artists in the entertainment industry, illustrating their profound impact on music and culture.
