The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the commencement of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, scheduled to begin on Friday, October 25, 2024. This Second Series of the examination will run until December 20, 2024.

In a statement released on Tuesday, WAEC also informed stakeholders that the registration period for candidates has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024. This extension is aimed at accommodating all eligible candidates wishing to participate in the examination.

Notably, the upcoming WASSCE will adopt a hybrid mode of examination delivery. This format entails that objective questions will be answered on-screen, while essay and practical questions will be completed in booklets provided to the candidates. This innovative approach is designed to enhance the examination experience and streamline the assessment process.

Candidates are encouraged to download the final timetable for the examination from the WAEC Nigeria website to ensure they are well-prepared for the forthcoming assessments.

WAEC remains committed to facilitating a smooth examination process and wishes all candidates the best of luck in their preparations.
