President Zelensky Honors Ukrainian Women on International Women’s Day.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Ukrainian women to the nation’s defense and stability amidst the ongoing conflict with Russia.
In a message posted on X, President Zelensky lauded Ukrainian women as “heroic, strong, professional and determined,” highlighting their resilience as a daily source of strength for Ukraine. He emphasized their presence and impact across all sectors, from the front lines and hospitals to schools and businesses.
Acknowledging their diverse roles in bolstering the nation, President Zelensky stated that Ukrainian women “enhance our collective strength, helps, saves, protects, supports those around you, inspires, and leads forward.” He concluded by emphasizing that while International Women’s Day is a designated day for recognition, their contributions are vital every day, and every day should strive to be a day of peace.
