In a recent interview with *The Times*, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha expressed a transformative perspective on the club’s dynamics following the departure of Kylian Mbappé. The talented midfielder articulated that the team has experienced a collective improvement since Mbappé’s exit, which marked the end of an era for the Ligue 1 giants.

Kylian Mbappé, who joined PSG from Monaco in 2017 and became a pivotal figure in the club’s ascent, left last summer to join Real Madrid as a free agent. His impressive record of 256 goals and 106 assists in 308 appearances underscored his significance to the team. However, Vitinha emphasized that the club has adapted to this change, stating, “It’s a different season. We don’t have a problem talking about it. Kylian is one of the best, if not the best. We knew it would be difficult.”

Vitinha acknowledged the challenge of replacing a player of Mbappé’s caliber but insisted that the team has focused on collective growth rather than individual replacement. “You can’t replace him directly. But you replace him with the team. That’s what we did,” he noted. This approach, while requiring time, has already begun to yield positive results, with PSG winning 19 of their 27 matches across all competitions since Mbappé’s departure.

Currently, PSG sits atop the Ligue 1 table, a testament to their resilience and adaptability. However, challenges remain, particularly in the Champions League, where they find themselves at risk of missing out on the knockout stages. As Vitinha and his teammates continue to navigate this new chapter, the emphasis on teamwork may ultimately define their success in both domestic and European competitions.
