Osun State Governor Signs N427 Billion Budget for 2025.

In a significant development for Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke has officially signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law, marking a pivotal moment for the state’s fiscal planning. The signing ceremony took place on Monday at the Exco Lounge of the Governor’s Office, attended by members of the State Executive Council and representatives from the legislative arm.

The budget, aptly titled the “Budget of Growth and Sustainable Development,” amounts to a total of N427,746,925,170. During the ceremony, Governor Adeleke expressed his gratitude to the Osun State House of Assembly and his cabinet for their efforts in refining the budget, which saw an increase of N37 billion from the original proposal of N390 billion.

In his remarks, Governor Adeleke emphasized the administration’s commitment to fostering growth and development in Osun State. He stated, “We are here to further demonstrate our readiness to forge ahead in the New Year with the growth and development of our dear State.” He also urged ministries, agencies, and departments to actively pursue the implementation of the budget for the benefit of all residents.

To ensure accountability and effective execution, the governor directed the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development to closely monitor the implementation process. He reassured the citizens that the budget would be executed in accordance with established targets and expectations.

As Osun State moves forward into the New Year, this budget symbolizes a strategic investment in sustainable growth and transformation, reflecting the administration’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of its citizens.
