Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, the prominent American recording artist known as NBA YoungBoy, has reportedly been released from federal prison on Monday, March 24, 2025.

The announcement was disseminated via X by Jamaican-American podcaster DJ Akademiks, who stated, “Looks like NBA YOUNGBOY has been released from federal prison and either transferred to a half way house or is headed home.”

This development follows YoungBoy’s initial sentencing to 27 months on federal charges and a subsequent no contest plea to 36 additional charges in 2024. As part of the plea agreement, Judge Spencer Walsh reduced the rapper’s felony charges to Class A misdemeanors and imposed a $25,000 fine.

The exact nature of YoungBoy’s current status, whether residing in a halfway house or returning home, remains unconfirmed. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
