Governor Monday Okpebholo Appoints New Officials in Edo State.

In a recent announcement, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has nominated Emmanuel Ehidiamen Okoebor as the Commissioner for Finance-designate. Okoebor brings over 25 years of experience in the banking sector, having served as the Regional Manager of the United Bank of Africa (UBA), where he oversaw 15 business offices. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Benin. Okoebor is also a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

In addition to the Finance-designate, Governor Okpebholo appointed Friday Ibadin, a retired Commissioner of Police, as the Corps Commander of the Edo State Security Corps Governance. With a distinguished career spanning 35 years in the Nigeria Police Force, Ibadin holds degrees in Philosophy and Law and was called to the Bar in 2007.

Furthermore, the governor appointed Stainless M.I. Ijeghede as the Managing Director of the Edo State Traffic Management Agency (EDSTMA). Ijeghede, who possesses a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, has had a prosperous career in the petroleum industry, notably in the Well Engineering and Safety Department at Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Ltd.

Lastly, Dr. Lucky Eseigbe has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Edo State Public Building and Maintenance Agency. Dr. Eseigbe earned his LLB and LLM from Ambrose Alli University and has served as a legislative aide to prominent members of Nigeria’s National Assembly since 2007.

The new appointments are effective immediately, as stated by Musa Umar Ikhilor, the Secretary to the State Government. These fresh nominations are anticipated to enhance governance and effectiveness within the state.
