God is Good Motors Collaborates with Police in Kidnapping Incident Response
In a recent statement, Enahoro Okhae, the Chief Executive Officer of God is Good Motors (GIGM), announced the company’s collaborative efforts with local law enforcement to secure the release of two remaining kidnapped passengers. This update follows the unfortunate abduction that transpired on Friday while a bus, carrying ten individuals from Abuja to Port Harcourt, was intercepted by armed assailants.
According to reports, the attackers opened fire into the air to instill fear before forcibly removing eight passengers, including the driver. Notably, a pregnant woman and her infant, as well as the driver, were released shortly after the incident.
Okhae revealed that initial reports differed slightly, as the company had been informed that four individuals had been freed. However, he clarified that a total of six out of the eight abducted passengers had indeed been returned. The company promptly notified the police’s kidnapping unit in Port Harcourt and has remained actively engaged in resolving the matter.
Despite exhaustive efforts, including outreach to the families and next of kin of the remaining captives, the company has yet to receive any information regarding their status. Okhae expressed hope for the safe return of all individuals involved, stating, “If the remaining two persons are still in custody, they shall also be released.”
As the management team at GIGM continues to navigate this distressing situation, further updates are anticipated. The ordeal underscores the ongoing challenges of security and safety in transit, prompting both corporate and law enforcement entities to intensify their commitment to passenger safety.
