Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, has made history by becoming the first African artist to receive Grammy nominations for six consecutive years. Since 2018, the ‘African Giant’ has showcased his extraordinary talent and resilience, achieving back-to-back nominations—a commendable accomplishment in the landscape of African music.

To date, Burna Boy has garnered an impressive total of 11 Grammy nominations, with one prestigious win to his name. His latest recognition comes from his hit song, ‘Higher’, which is nominated in the Best African Music Performance category at this year’s Grammy Awards, further solidifying his artistic prowess.

In a remarkable showcasing of Nigerian talent, Tems emerges as the artist with the most nominations at the 67th Grammy Awards.
